Desert Floods
During winter season, heavy rainfall strike the Israeli desert regions in southern and eastern parts of the country cause flash floods that sweep away boulders and rocks from the riverbeds causing many roads to be closed. The first few moments of the flash flood appear benign but immediately turn into a torrent that sweeps away huge rocks, cars, and animals.
